VONR 1501. FOUNDATIONS OF VOCATIONAL NURSING
This course provides the introduction and groundwork for the role of the vocational nurse as a provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, member of health care team, and member of profession. Content includes fundamental history of vocational nursing, a systematic framework for decision-making and critical thinking, and basic nursing skills. Emphasis will be place on the knowledge, judgement, skill performance, and professional values within the legal/ethical framework of the vocational nurse.
