VONR 1201. REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
This course explores sexual and reproductive health and the role of the vocational nurse in delivering safe, therapeutic care to a diverse population. This course will cover applying the nursing process and culturally sensitive care across the following topics: sexually transmitted infections, intimate partner violence, methods of contraception, conception, pregnancy, birth, the postpartum period and care of the newborn as well as complications and their implications in relation to these topics. Ethics and standards of practice will be integrated throughout the course.
