VONR 1106. MENTAL HEALTH NURSING FOR THE VOCATIONAL NURSE
This course focuses on mental health concepts related to mental illness prevention, health maintenance, and healing as applied to patients across the lifespan. An overview of the continuum of mental wellbeing and acute and chronic mental illness and treatment modalities is included. Students will apply pharmacological knowledge and principles of nutrition and alternative therapy to the mental health of the patient through a holistic and culturally sensitive evidence-based approach to care.
