Schreiner students are typically placed in College Algebra, Business Math, or Applied Statistics if they choose to take a math course. If you wish to take Precalculus or Calculus as your first Schreiner math course, you should either submit official ACT/SAT/AP/LCEP/IB, transfer credits from a prerequisite course with a passing grade (either through dual-credit or transfer work), or ALEKS PPL assessment scores.
Schreiner is offering you the opportunity to take the ALEKS PPL placement assessment and utilize the ALEKS Prep and Learning Modules to review at no cost and as a service to you. It is strongly recommended that students planning to major in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Biology (BS), or Chemistry utilize the ALEKS PPL for both placement and review since they are required to take Calculus for their major.
